With most of my PR energy getting consumed within the Tech & Enterprise networks, handling the PR for Dubai Garden Glow (for 3 seasons) was such a happy change – both in terms of content and perspective. There was much to do be done and said and explored.
One of my favourite PR collab till date has been the tie – in with Dubai Duty Free during the DDF Tennis Championships. On exploring and brainstorming with the absolute fun person at DutyFree, we zeroed in on Defending champion, Simona Halep and had her walk the talk at the very new and upbeat Dubai Garden Glow.
The tournament top seed strolled through the unique eco-friendly garden that converts into a ‘glow in the dark park’ by evening
Simona Halep was FUN and EASY from the start – we handed her the script and the intro and she went ahead and narrated the same in her extremely charming ‘sporty’ manner. Needless to say, the results of this PR activation was outstanding (as expected and planned). This was rich (print & broadcast) content for the Media while the park visitors much thrilled to be so up close and personal with the Tennis Champ.
The media partner Gulf News did not leave any stone unturned as we got an extensive media mix starting with the mainline to digital to radio and TV.
